I’ve lost 28 lbs and walked two half-marathons this month!

Jonathan,
Here are my Before and “almost done the After” pictures of my recent journey with you. I needed to lose 30 lbs (31 to be precise) to get to a comfortable weight. I had eaten lots of candy over the winter during a stressful time in my life, and was ready to lose the weight and get my body and good spirits back. Unfortunately, in the Before picture I am NOT purposely sticking out my stomach… this is where I tend to gain weight.
Since the contest started in August, I’ve lost 28 lbs, almost to my goal weight, but I’ll know when I’m there. A bit more toning is needed, but I have SO much energy, I feel so healthy, and more importantly, this time I’ve picked up great eating habits.
There are habits I always do… eat right after getting up in the morning, drink lots of water, don’t drink soda, do random acts of fitness (from parking farther away at stores to fast walking through the house doing chores, for example), and some habits that I’m not so good at (like completing the Win Tomorrow checklist or getting 7 hours of sleep).
But I do some form of exercise every day, cut out junk food/sugar/dairy/gluten out of my diet for now just to see how my body responds, and I’m loving it. I never would have thought that I could eliminate the bad foods from my diet and survive! LOL Now when I want a chocolate, I just have one, not a whole bag, and my family is eating healthy right along with me. I don’t deny them fun foods, but I don’t have to put them on MY plate, and I keep the healthy foods around and in my car so I don’t make bad choices. After a while I began to crave fruits and veggies rather than sugar.
When Jonathan gives reasons for why you should do something, it’s truly for a good reason! Getting 7plus hours of sleep allows your body to recuperate at night after a long day. Hydrating flushes the toxins out of your system. Eating healthy foods gives you energy. Any movement gives you energy… you’ll find yourself looking for ways to move! It’s all true!
It’s up to you do what you can, but just know that it will all work out for you. Eliminate bad habits and add good habits as you can, and you will see the results. Jonathan is not just talking… it all works! Thanks to the coaches and the menus and motivation.
Keep it up… you can do this! I just walked two half-marathons this month!

I'm down 30lbs! I'm thankful for the Coaches - YOU & your family ARE WORHT IT!!!!

Dear Team,
I am almost 38yrs old, I have had 5 children, and I never in my life thought I would exercise as much as I do, feel so great, or be able to fight my fibromyalgia with nutrition and exercise. I grew up in a home where healthy food was “too expensive” and never learned what good nutrition was, or how to feed my body. My highest weight was when I was 27yrs old, and was shortly after the death of my mom from obesity, cancer, diabetes, and a heart attack. She was only 54yrs old.
I was tipping the scales at 230lbs and almost in a size 22 pants. I was miserable. I found one way to get my weight down and was able to stay at about 189 for a few years, but still didn’t workout much and it definitely wasn’t a habit. I was a single mom and I worked long hours so when we did eat, it still wasn’t always healthy.
Fast forward a few years and I had gone through major stress, another pregnancy, a premature baby, and had lost a ton of weight the wrong way because I wasn’t eating form stress.
I found Jonathan and Boot Camp, and was able to start in November of 2013 I want to say. I learned to listen to my body, and began to workout regularly. I loved the positive atmosphere and the support. I began to eat again, but let it get out of hand. I am a firm testimony that you cannot “out run” poor nutrition. So I gained a lot back. This is hard for me to admit and it is still a struggle every day to push play.
What I will tell you though, IT IS WORTH IT!!! I have seen a change in myself, I have seen changes in my children. My little boy has grown up with Boot Camp and all the coaches. All my children watch me daily and I am on the road to breaking the cycle of obesity and poor health in my family. I am doing this through the example I set with my children daily. I owe all of this to Jonathan, the coaches and the program. I am thankful for it every day and I wouldn’t be where I am today in my journey if it wasn’t for them. Even on rough days I pushed play and one of the coaches pushed me through.
I am now 30lbs down from where I was the beginning of August. The holidays still took a little toll on me, but It does for all of us.
I am a certified Food for Life Instructor now through PCRM and I love helping others. The love and passion that comes from the coaches is contagious.
Always remember, YOU & your family ARE WORHT IT!!!!The photos show my journey from my highest weight to a very low weight getting there unhealthy, then a higher weight and then now.

I'm down 60lbs! The Boot Camp system works, if you work the system!

Dear Team,
While I know I won't be able to win the Mexico Vacation, as I'm not living in the USA, I thought I might as well keep doing the challenges as they'll keep me focused and on the right track!
20 Weeks more or less At Goal
After reaching what I thought was going to be my goal weight in March, and staying there more or less (yay), I felt still somewhat unhappy with myself. It seems I had overestimated where I wanted to be, and I decided to set a New Goal, which I reached just in time for Christmas - my Christmas Present to myself! The daily videos certainly helped, as did an "unbreakable chain" that I decided to create - 111 days of exercise (3x intervals, 2x NEWOs plus 1 run per week, and one rest day). That 111 day block ended on the 1st of January, and I've now started a second - aiming for 222 days, which will take me to just before my 52nd birthday!
I cannot recommend enough exercising 6 times a week, and making that an unbreakable date with yourself. At times it was just 15 minutes (one of the fabulous Express workouts), so it's not a huge commitment - but the consistency really pays off.
So much about the last 20 weeks. And a more general Testimonial (promised to Jonathan during Friday's radio show) – Seven Years to Goal
Enjoy the journey from the beginning – you’re now living a different life style, a happier, healthier one. You’re not going through a rough time in order to reach some Nirvana. You can be happy and feel better straight from the first week. And then stay that way.
That’s how I would describe my journey towards long-lasting change. Like Jonathan says – you can hurry up and fail, or take it slow and make the changes last. It doesn’t have to take you as long as it took me – I started my journey in the summer of 2009, and finally reached my goal weight in 2016. I had always been active, and even made it around a 10 k that year, but I was far from well and found it very tough. (Red top) My son (the guy with the ice cream next to me in each of the photographs) is of course delighted that I got to this stage.
Altogether, I lost nearly 60 pounds. My highest recorded weight (in 2009) was 197 lbs, today I am 138.
The journey was more a roller coaster than a straight line, there was a bit of a yoyo-thing happening in between, but one thing was constant: I stuck with No Excuses Workouts / Boot Camp Hub, and the more I engaged with that process, the easier I found it to make my weight go in the right direction.
So from my experience, I can honestly say Jonathan Roche is right: The Boot Camp system works, if you work the system. And (to use another one of Jonathan’s sayings) it’s simple. It’s not easy – but it is simple:
Use the tools Boot Camp offers you – and stick to the six habits:
Plan tomorrow today. Exercise 6 times a week. Eat regular meals, 5-6 times a day. Hydrate. Get enough sleep. And fit random acts of fitness into your day!
Also, the more I engaged with the Boot Camp Hub team (i.e. the other Boot Campers), and with the daily messages sent out to us, the more success I had with my health & fitness journey. (I nearly wrote: With my weight loss – but then I remembered that it’s so much more than just weight loss!)Being on the Hub once a day makes a big difference. Find your corner on the hub, maybe the Attitude of Gratitude forum or the Daily Missions forum, and the more consistently you share your experiences there, the more you will feel part of this online family.
For me, tracking my food was a very important part of the process as well. Not to be on a diet or so, but so that I could make informed decisions what I did want to eat, and what not!
My attitude to exercise has shifted, and I love picking from the online workouts with the different coaches, as well as running regularly once again.
Oh, and just one more thing – Random Acts of Fitness! I used to hate having to get up and fetch or do something; now I jump to the opportunity and say to myself: Every step counts. You can guess that I’m much more popular with my family now... and I guess that I go upstairs / downstairs on average 20 times more a day than before. That’s 480 extra steps (12 steps in our staircase x 2 x 20) a day!

Down 17 lbs! I am proud of what I've done & the obstacles that I have overcome!

Dear Team,
I am 41 years old and have been using the Boot Camp Hub for a few years now. Two of my girlfriends, Allison & Katrina, were lifetime members and could not say enough positive things about Jonathan and the other coaches. I had to see what all of the fuss was about!!
My last few years or so have been a struggle and I needed to get healthy again. I loved the workouts and variety that we got to choose from each day.
I am a mother of 4 wonderful children, but my poor body has seen better days. My weight has fluctuated over the last 14 years and hitting the age of 40 seemed to bring nothing but bad luck. I stepped in a hole in our backyard in September of 2015 and ended up fracturing and spraining my ankle. After wearing a boot for a while, resting my ankle & gaining weight, I went for physical therapy and was told to continue to stay off of my ankle until it had time to heal. Unfortunately, I gained even more weight while "resting", had stopped using my "Win Tomorrow Check List", and ended up gaining almost 30 lbs within a year. I was depressed, disappointed in myself and terribly discouraged.
When I saw the Boot Camp Challenge back in August, I knew that it would help motivate me to get healthy again. I was doing really well until October when I stepped on my cat who was lying on the stairs and fell down the rest of the steps... I was devastated!!
I was positive I had broken my other ankle along with injuring my knee and back. After several days of rest, I was able to walk on my ankle and was so relieved. It still causes pain and my knee does not always allow me to do the things I would like, but I am healing and I am eating healthier and modifying the workouts to cause less pain. I am back to using the "Win Tomorrow Check List" and it definitely helps to hold me accountable. I am a huge fan of Coach Nancy and her wonderful energy - so thank you Coach Nancy!
Even though I have to modify her workouts now, my goal is to be healed enough in the next few months to do them without modification. Seeing Baby Ava is always a highlight as well!
I started out at 158 lbs. in August of this year and am down to 141 lbs now.
I am proud of what I've done and the obstacles that I have overcome (or worked around). I have more work to do and I plan to get back down to 130 lbs by summer!!
Thank you to all of the coaches for their incredible motivation and help on this journey!

Down 36 lbs & 19 inches! It has been years since I have felt this good!

Dear Team,
20 Weeks. I actually started thinking, “I can do anything for 20 weeks!”
Enter Stage Right: My Negative Voice
Boy she has a big mouth! And she is pushy and mean! And she nearly defeated me by taking over MY story, yet again.
Over the years, she has had her way every time I tried to lose weight and get healthy. I have yo-yo’d my way through hundreds of pounds!
But then, I got the email from Jonathan about group coaching. I was able to sign up before “she” said no-way! I started the calls with Jonathan and my team at 236 pounds. Over the course of my group coaching, I got stronger, and stronger and I now have a “choke-hold” on my inner voice. Talking each week with my team, and being open to the guidance Jonathan provided me, has totally changed my thought process!
I made it through Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, the loss of my job and surgery!
Today, I weighed in at 200 pounds – a loss of 36 pounds and 19 inches. It has been years since I have felt this good! And it is not because of the physical weight loss, though that is great. I feel this way because I am finally letting go of the mental garbage – a much harder task than moving the scale!
If I can do this after ALL these years and surgeries, anyone can! Take the Bootcamp lead! It flat out works!
Thank you so much!
Teri

Down 15lbs & 20 inches & Gained A Whole New Me!

Dear Team,
Poster Girl for the Boot Camp Hub, I am not. My before and after photos aren't website worthy but the transformation in my health , diet and energy levels are off the charts.
I have never exercised regularly. I was born to be tall and thin and that carried me a long way through life. In 2013, I dabbled with your original free YouTube videos for awhile; repeating the same few over and over until I had them memorized. In these videos, you spoke of working the program, of using a heart rate monitor, and of tracking your progress. My negative voice told me that I didn't need that 'extra stuff'. I dropped some weight but fell off the program and moved on.
In March 2016, I joined as a Lifetime Member determined to become a better version of me. With my 50th birthday a little less than 9 months away, I clocked my weight at 143 lbs., took my measurements and threw the excuses out of the door.
I am excited to report that as of December 2016, I have reached my goal weight of 128 lbs., having lost 20 inches overall, but most importantly having gained a whole new me. I have more energy, drink more water than I thought possible, and look forward to working out 5 – 6 days a week. That last part being the hardest to believe. I've realized you and your coaches make that possible. You all are enthusiastic, passionate people who by the magic of the internet reach into my life, encourage me, and get me motivated to move. I use a heart rate monitor, track my progress and use the 'Win tomorrow checklist'. I now really see that these things are not to be considered extra but are key elements to wellness. The community that you have created on the Hub is my daily accountability group that I turn to again and again for support.
The online videos have taken away my excuse of not being able to go to a gym due to all my 'mom duties'. My sons have been able to witness my journey to health through your hub all the while encouraging me to 'win the day'. They are now making better choices of exercise for their health. My sons have each chosen their own path to health and wellness; some run, while others weight train. My husband has been moved by my enthusiasm for wellness to get back to his old habit of treadmill runs and weight lifting. Thanks to your program my whole family is getting into shape.
Growing up, when anything exciting was about to happen, my dad would rub his hands together exactly like the “Mr. Miyagi” move. My whole family and close friends do this same thing today. When I first saw Jonathan do this move, I knew something great was about to happen. And it did! Thank you for giving me the tools to transform myself and the determination to keep on “winning the day”. As I am the best version of myself that I have ever been, I can say with confidence, “Bring on my 50th birthday!!”
Sincerely and with much thanks,
Patricia

I've lost 14lbs. and became the Chief Wellness Officer of my family!

Hi Jonathan,
I joined Bootcamp several years ago now, when I was very unhealthy and gradually putting on more and more weight.
It has made such an enormous difference to my life and the life of my family. We are more motivated, more positive and much, much healthier! I’ve already lost 14 pounds!
The high point for me really and the realization of what Boot Camp has done for me was last August, when I walked 34 miles in 2 days along one of the great English Walks - the South Downs Way. This is very near where I live and I can walk onto it from my house. It is 100 miles long and my goal is to walk its whole length over the next couple of years.
I went with a good friend (she's a very fit walker) and it was a totally amazing experience. 5 years ago, there is no way I would have even thought of taking on this challenge. It would never have crossed my mind. And if I had done it, I think I would have been an aching mess!
As it was, not only did I love doing it, having a massive amount of laughs, (even when we were totally exhausted and it was raining,) but I didn't even ache afterwards - despite walking 22 miles of the walk on one day.
I am looking forward to doing the next leg at Easter this year - another 30 or so miles.
It's a wonderful way to see the beautiful countryside around me - I feel blessed.
We walked all the way along the coast that you can see in the distance).
And photo of me and my daughter at my cousin's wedding in Italy in October. I wore a beautiful size 10 (that's an English size) dress which I would never have considered buying before Boot Camp.
I include my daughter because, aged 15, she is now working out with me each day and we are doing a 5k run in 8 weeks’ time!
So, thank you for making me the Chief Wellness Officer of my family.

Online Boot Camp Success – Meghan dropped 55 pounds in 6 months

Seven months ago I was not happy. I was not happy with how I felt inside and out. My husband and I went away for our 15th wedding anniversary. The trip was nice but I did not have fun physically. I had sore legs from walking, I was avoiding using stairs and I felt embarrassed.
I knew I had come to a point I needed to make a choice.
I could no longer follow this road I was on. I had to turn around. Back at home I had an email waiting for me from Boot Camp Hub inviting me to take part in a 10-week challenge. I committed myself for 10 weeks to see what could happen.
I lost 25 pounds in that 10-week challenge and kept going. 6 months later I feel fantastic. I am excited about my life, my potential and reaching my goals. I am now 55 pounds of weight loss into my journey, I have more to go but I know I can. I can see and visualize what I can do.
Recently my family and I went to a provincial park where there are the fantastic hoodoos to climb and run around. We had such a fun Saturday afternoon. Even though I was not as fast as my four kids I could climb with them and run with them. As we drove home I reflected on how 6 months ago I couldn't have done this with them and how grateful that I could now.
Some of my goals for this coming year include completing a Spartan Race with my husband, running a race with my sister and snowshoeing with my family this winter.
Whenever I feel overwhelmed I remind myself of what Jonathan has said "Focus on one day at a time and one healthy decision at a time -win today and repeat". I can do this in baby steps, I can make progress day by day.
Thank you Online Boot Camp coaches for showing up, your positive attitudes that help me in return show up and succeed. I look forward to continuing my journey with you at my side.
Meghan

UNBELIEVABLE – I dropped 20 pounds in 2 1/2 months!

Hello Jonathan…
UNBELIEVABLE…I purposefully did not re-measure and compare photos throughout the 10 weeks because I did not want to do anything drastic in my diet or workouts…I literally did as you were prescribing.
The only thing I was always checking was my weight and I was getting discouraged…I started at 195#’s, January 19th, but actually ballooned up to 199#’s…I just listened to your encouragement and your coaching and little by little my physical being started to change.
I first started to feel better about physical wellbeing, then I started to notice that my pants and shirts, especially around the neck when I wore a tie (which is everyday), started to be looser and then my belt started to move on to the next hole, second hole and today I am on the third hole…three hole sizes different on my belt.
That all sounds exciting but what has really changed, my wife thanks you for it, is that I am back in my own bed because I do not snore at all. My doctor says that fat around the neck area can cause snoring.
You are a hero to my wife and me, we are back in bed together. As if that was not enough for me already feeling like a winner…today, I teared up seeing the difference in these photos. I wasn’t convinced it was going to be that drastic…but oh my! Look at me…slowly but surely transforming…and in 10 weeks, this is significant for me.
Weight was 195#’s, now it is in the 180#’s.
Why this really means a lot to me is that I am now 51 years old and when I was 43, I suffered a heart attack. I had a 99.5% blocked Left artery (the widow maker)…my doctor told me then that I was a miracle. I believe that…but then I started to gain my weight back and started to worry even more so than ever…by the time, I met you Jonathan at Sales Mastery last year, I was a mess…weighing in at 198#’s and was yo-yoing on my diets.
I ran marathons but each one felt harder and harder…every marathon, I have run 7, have been harder on me and I know that the increase in weight is the cause of it. Some 5’8” should not weigh 200#’s and I was there. So, what you have done for me is to teach me that the extreme dieting is not what it’s about…today, I am not on a diet, I control my portions and eat more often, I do only the prescribed exercises and this is the result.
I am at a point where I can’t wait to workout and feel privileged to be able to…I am very much enjoying the right foods and eating just the right amount. Slowly but surely, I am feeling great, sleeping well, less stressed and much less irritable to my family. I travel a lot, about 4 days a week, 180 - 200 flights a year, but lately, I have felt awesome and being busy with work and travel is no excuse…thanks to your organization.
Win or lose Coach, I have already won…by the way, today, I went in to get a check-up and today, I blood pressure came in at 122/82…in December, it was 159/109…funny thing is, I am just starting!
On the 20th of April, I start my training for my 8th marathon, my goal is to run it in October at 165#’s and qualify for Boston. I will be running the Twin Cities marathon and will need to knock off a minute per mile from my best time ever but at 165#’s, I know it can be done.
We, myself and my family, thank you greatly for what has been a great transformation.
Be blessed you two and be a blessing, you are to us!
J.A.
