About Coach Jonathan
Jonathan Roche is an Award-Winning Fitness Expert, Best-Selling Author, a 27-time Boston Marathon Finisher (running 26 of them to raise funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute) and a 12-time Ironman Triathlon Finisher. He is also the Founder and CEO of Breakthrough Health (which he founded in December of 2004) and he is the original creator of EnergyUP.
Jonathan is no longer doing Live Workouts but you have access to hundreds of his Recorded Workouts (including his Outside Workouts - just search for the term "Outside").
His first book (“The No Excuses Diet”, which is an Anti-Diet book) hit #3 on the Amazon Best Seller List and was featured on The Today Show. His second book titled “12 Key Habits to Thrive!” was released on 5/23/22.
In 1995 Jonathan weighed 224 pounds and was wearing size 38 pants when his Dad (who was obese) died suddenly of Cardiac Arrest. After losing his Dad, he went on to drop 44 pounds using Interval Training (which is at the core of the Energy UP program) and has kept it off for 26 years.
Jonathan started creating personalized interval training plans for people trying to get fit and lose weight in 1998. He has been awarded two “Interval Fitness Training” patents (Patent # 7,641,592 and Patent #7,981,002) that are at the core of Breakthrough Health’s proprietary software (www.EnergyUP.co) that personalizes an individual’s interval workouts based on their health status, goals and schedule. Jonathan currently has a third patent that is pending for the “Wellness Optimization System” which is a machine learning software platform.
Breakthrough Health’s mission is to positively transform 100 million lives by 2030!
